Ridgewood Townhomes

Ridgewood Townhomes is a Supportive Housing apartment community, owned by HomeStretch. Located in Garfield Township, Ridgewood Townhomes are located near shopping, grocery stores, recreational areas and public transportation.  The Traverse City Housing Commission and HomeStretch are working together to provide project-based Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers are attached only to Ridgewood Townhomes and cannot be used elsewhere.

To be eligible for residency at Ridgewood Townhomes an adult applicant/family member must meet the federal definition of homeless.  That definition is:

An individual who has a primary nighttime residence that is –

1. A supervised publicly or privately operated shelter designed to provide temporary living accommodations (including welfare hotels, congregate shelters, and transitional housing for the mentally ill);
2. An institution that provides a temporary residence for individuals intended to be institutionalized; or

A public or private place not designed for, or ordinarily used as, a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings.
